From time to time, Foodie.com asks me to partner with them and gather some of my favorite recipes. This time the theme is ‘Best of 2013’ so I started thinking back on what my favorite food moments have been. As we wrap up the year with food and festivities, I’ve realized that my children are far more open to new foods than I first thought they were. We’ve had fun experimenting with new ingredients, twists on old favorites, Paleo and some ethnic foods that were completely new to them. I still haven’t been able to talk them into zucchini, but many other things have crossed their plates (and vanished soon after). If you have a ‘mini me’ who likes culinary exploration (or a tot who needs exciting presentation to make him or her dig in) then you’re sure to find some inspiration with these recipes for kids.
So, in celebration of our little gourmands, I’ve wandered around and collected some recipes that my family has enjoyed and others I have on my ‘to do’ list; everything from unique desserts to hearty winter lunches.
