Brandcation 4: Blog Cabin – it was coming to a close. After all the attractions have been seen. After all the photos have been taken. After all the tweets have been sent… it was time to geek it up and cut loose! And how do almost 40 female bloggers do that, exactly? Well it involves flashy blinky glasses, 80s jams and hot pink… a lot of hot pink.
What better way to set the mood for an all-girls 80s party than with color changing, light up martini glasses from Flashy Blinky Lights?! The girls watched this tower being constructed and we could barely contain ourselves. If you didn’t have a glass yet – you were thinking about getting a glass. Flashy Blinky Lights also sent over pizza and snacks because….you know…. we girls can CHOW DOWN. They also included these groovy light up, color change rings (I grabbed two – one for each hand).
Once the glasses were full (and so were our tummies) it was time to crank up the tunes and totally ‘eighties out’. I took a few minutes to stroll around and see everyone’s 80s gear…
…we had Adam Ant, a few Cindy Laupers, Kate Pierson (B-52s) (some said she doubled as Peggy Bundy!) and even a She Ra. Me? Well I dressed like I did *cough*many years ago *cough* with the typical ripped tank, rubber bracelets and wacked out sci-fi makeup. It was a blast!
As the night wore on a few ladies hit the dance floor ( I was not one of them. No ma’am…I do not dance. Sorry) –
