As soon as the weather gets warmer and the snow melts, one of our favorite weekend family activities is going for a walk. Sometimes we only venture a few blocks from home to wander our local lakes and trails. Other times we drive into our favorite neighboring towns and cities, park the car and set out to find something new. We try to add different areas each year as the kids grow and we’ve found some amazing places. But, sometimes you can only wander so much on your own. Wouldn’t it be great if you had a personal guide in the palm of your hand?

You can also create your own hike to share with others or keep a record of your adventures. I created a hike of one of our favorite local places: Bearskin Neck, Rockport MA. It took me about 10 minutes (including time to add photos and details about the locations) and now I can share it with friends and family who want to come visit and explore.
