A zip-line (also known as a flying fox, foefie slide, zip wire, aerial runway, or aerial ropeslide) consists of a pulley suspended on a cable, usually made of stainless steel, mounted on an incline. It is designed to enable a user propelled by gravity to travel from the top to the bottom of the inclined cable by holding onto, or attaching to, the freely moving pulley. (wikipedia)
Surrounded by the Smoky Mountain National Park, CLIMB Works Canopy an amazing view and an experience you’ll never forget. Even getting to the top to begin is exciting with a fun four-wheel adventure in a fast Polaris all-terrain vehicle. After you get to the begining….”your feet won’t touch the ground for the next 2 1/2 hours..”
I wish I’d had my camera as I zipped over ravines, streams and trees – it was awesome. There were 9 lines total and 3 sky bridges. They start you out slow and short, but by the end you’re going over 1,000 feet at thrilling speeds. We even went UPSIDE DOWN. Yes! There’s even a surprise at the end….but I’m not telling!

I also have to say that our guides, Thomas and Sierra, were hilarious! They had us laughing the entire time and they were excellent with the zipliners that were first-timers or a little scared. They were also very knowledgeable and experienced; I never worried about my safety even once. Thanks, guys!!
