Having grown up in the South, I have a soft spot for warm climates, gentle breezes and natural wonderlands for the whole family. Mississippi offers all the comforts of a relaxing Southern vacation and more — even at Christmas time. What better way to celebrate the holiday spirit and family togetherness than in a warmer climate? Christmas on the Gulf Coast Events

Snowflakes in the Bay — November 15 through December 31, special events showcase: Food, boutique shops, live entertainment and inviting holiday walks through a charming coastal town. Saturday, December 15, Snowflakes and Sugar Plums transform the historic Depot District of Old Town Bay St. Louis into a real winter wonderland. Enjoy the ice skating rink with your family, seasonal music, live carolers, crafts and even a Sugarplum Village.

27th Annual Christmas on the Water — Every year visitors come from far and wide to enjoy the boat parade December 1. Beautiful boats, bedecked in colorful lights and streamers, are on display and sure to get a few oohs and ahhs from both the kids and parents.  Don’t miss the grand finale of the night – a fireworks show on the Biloxi casino shoreline!

The Holiday Ice Spectacular — The Beau Rivage hosts this holiday event December 11 – 30. Snuggle up and watch as talented ice skaters perform routines set to all of your favorite Christmas music. You haven’t seen a spectacular until you’ve seen the chorus line kicks!

8th Winter Wonderland Christmas — Over 40,000 Christmas lights & decorations spread over three acres. This event grows bigger each year – a must see!

Biloxi Christmas in the City — Browse and shop over 100 of the Gulf Coasts best artisans, antique dealers and craftsmen. It’s the perfect place to soak in the holiday spirit while you shop for last minute gifts! There are also delicious specialty food vendors, photos with Santa and special treats you’ll only find on the Gulf Coast.
