After purchasing a new home three years ago, the remodeling and redecorating process has been a long and delicate journey. Now that all the heavy work is done like painting and flooring we’ve started to select varied artwork to display and decorate our walls. One thing I have always loved is custom artwork and prints. There is so much beautiful art in the world, but there’s something special about knowing something you have is unique and won’t be found in any other home.
I started with framed paper art from Japan and a custom Geisha print. Thanks to Picture Your Street I now have a new piece to add to my little collection.
Picture Your Street is a novel concept you may not have heard of before now: Your name, or family names, from street signs. These are authentic photos of real street signs found around the country and framed in wood and glass. They offer a modern, industrial spin to the classic family artwork that can fit into any style of decor.
Are the signs real?
“Yes! We searched high and low, throughout neighborhoods, along city streets and back roads to find them and yes: they are all authentic street signs.”
You can order up to four names in one display. I chose two : June and Cleaver for my website. The prints are so sharp and bold – and the black frame accents it so it’s very striking and eye catching. The Double Photo is 15 x 11 ¼ and is available for $60.00, framed. The single is available for $40.00, triple for $70.00 and a set of four photos is available for $80.00
Not only do I really enjoy my new print, but the customer service at Picture Your Street was excellent. My first choice for a name print was going to be difficult (if not impossible) to find so they contacted me and helped me decide on a new request so that my photos would be perfect and delivered quickly. The art arrived well packed, no damage and the shipping was fast.
A perfect gift for that ‘hard to buy for’ person on your holiday list!
