Have you heard the buzz yet about Younique 3D Fiber Lashes? I have. A lot. I watched a friend use them on a cruise, then I read about them almost every day online. It seemed like everyone was going crazy about Younique. I thought, “That’s cool, but I already have long lashes. I don’t need extensions.” I’d tried fake lashes …once. They felt like I had strips of tape on my eyes all day. As if blinking too hard would make them fly off my face. I was perfectly happy sticking with my natural lashes.
It was my friend, who is also a Younique sales rep, who finally convinced me. She offered to send some with the promise that I could be brutally honest here on the blog if I didn’t like them. She’s tricky. Why? She knew she didn’t have anything to worry about because this system is awesome. I tried the 3D Fiber Lashes the day they arrived in the mail and I was shocked at the result.
This isn’t coming from someone who is easily amazed by makeup. I wear cosmetics daily and have since my mother bought me my first cake of pink blush. I’ve seen my fair share of “amazing result” promises go down the drain (literally….along with the soap I used to wash it off). I’ve used eyelash curlers, plumpers, false lashes, ‘super extreme’ mascaras and more. I’ve seen every level of length and volume my eyelashes were capable of.
Younique blew them all right out of the water. Nothing I’ve used has made my lashes so long while also leaving them looking so natural.
I watched a ton of videos, read so many reviews. Some of them said a) they clumped and b) they flaked. Some even said they didn’t notice any difference in length. I’m not sure what happened to create those results, but I can promise you – it didn’t happen to me. I really think it’s all about following directions and using the right technique. Photos can be altered. I know. So, I made a quick video showing you how I put mine on. (wearing no makeup….I was feeling brave.)
What I Love
- It’s easy. There are only 3 easy steps. It’s just like putting on mascara.
- It’s fast. The first application is your warm up. After that, you’ll be applying like a pro. I timed myself the third time I put on my 3D lashes: 45 seconds per eye.
- More natural than false lashes or heavy layers of mascara. If you use a lash comb after application, no one will be able to tell where your real lashes end and the Younique fibers begin.
- They last all day. My Younique lashes survive the entire day. No fall out, no flakes (that’s even wearing glasses).
- Green Tea fibers. The extension fibers are 100% green tea. That’s just plain cool.
What I’d Love to See
- A lash comb included in the kit. I think a lot of users don’t realize you can separate your lashes after applying the fibers without losing any of the effect. I hope Younique will start including a lash comb (not everyone owns one) AND include that as a step on their directions so buyers get the full effect of natural, long lashes.
So, do Younique 3D Fiber Lashes work? YES!
I would recommend this product to anyone who loves showing off their eyes. It doesn’t matter if you have short lashes, blonde lashes or the ones you have are already thick and dark. You will be amazed at how much fuller and longer you can go. I may never use traditional mascara again.
