We’ve always called Thanksgiving ‘Turkey Day’ …but seeing how tough the turkeys in Free Birds are, we may have to rethink that.

Unfortunately we got a little bit of a late start since Little Man was sick for almost 2 weeks (poor baby). But, once he was feeling better it was a great activity for a cold November day!

Our box contained two different crafts: My Turkey Game and Thanksgiving Place Cards. We decided to work on the game first. After being sick on the couch for so long, Little Man was ready for some fun.
The kit comes with absolutely everything you need – even child safe scissors and crayons!
Little Man did not want to pose for a photo – he wanted to get started!
Each craft comes with a detailed instruction guide – including step by step illustrations.

I expected to help him along the way, but the steps were so easy I only had to tell him what was next and he was able to do everything himself. He loved that!
All done! We had two extra feathers so we used them to brace the bottom so it wouldn’t tip over during play.
Conversation while we worked on our Kiwi Crate:
Me: So… are you ready to see Free Birds? The movie with the turkeys?
LM: Yeah! They make a time machine!
Me: oh Yeah? What’s a time machine?
LM: A thing because people want to eat them! Now they’re gonna fight!
At that point he jumped down and started doing karate moves across the kitchen. I think he’s got a pretty good grip on the plot! I’m so glad he’s feeling better – now we’re all set to go see Free Birds in the theater!
