Anyone who’s around me for any length of time knows I dig customization on my electronics. Every time I get a new gadget I spent just as much time with the creative aspects as I do checking out the features. When I got my HTC 8X I immediately loved the live tiles format on the home screen. But alas…it was missing that special something. That Kenda something. So, I spent a few minutes going over tutorials and searching for creative apps to perfect my total phone ‘look’.

Screen captures from my 8X: (L) My lock screen is custom made in Photoshop. (R) The home screen features my favorite gal Tank Girl. I’m a big fan and, back in 2005, my online friends gave me Tank Girl as a nickname (or Tank for short). Of course I have to include her! Beside her are quick links to ‘My Peeps’ aka the people who usually have to hear me ramble on in their inbox or texts. Below that – of course – my favorite apps. My home screen is actually twice that length. You don’t even want to see how long my full app list is. I like working, chatting, watching, listening and everything else on the go – so my app list is rather…um… extensive.
The actual screens as they look on my phone:

Also – I have a case on my phone in these pictures. A few people asked me which case I use so here you go: Diztronic TPU Case in Matte Black. It’s an amazing, lightweight but strong case.
I want to hear from you!
What customization do you like on your phone?
Do you like artistic wallpaper? Have a favorite case?
