When I selected the Big Easy Necklace for my review, I was thinking of home. Born and raised in the Westbank area of Louisiana, I’m a Cajun girl through and through. What better way to celebrate my heritage than to wear our symbol close to my heart. But, what I didn’t expect was the message of Brave Heart inscribed on the back of the fleur-de-lis.
The Big Easy is a long, draping necklace which I love this time of year with my winter sweaters and cardigans. The delicate, hand-crafted link chain is 925 silver and includes a second draped, smaller chain suspending a lovely rose quartz. The design is also very adaptive, allowing you to latch the necklace further up, on the chain itself, if you look requires a shorter length.
One of my favorite aspects of this necklace is the weight. The Big Easy practically floats while you wear it, yet is ornate enough to catch the eyes of those around you. My first time wearing this was to a holiday party with a black sweater that really showed off the silver – and I received numerous compliments. I’m looking forward to wearing it often and pairing it with my sun dresses when the warmer weather arrives.
