Jackpot Candles sent me two candles of my own: Valentine Candy Hearts and Pina Colada. I have to tell you that these candles made my house smell amazing. Within a few minutes of lighting them, the scent was noticable in several rooms. I loved how they were powerful enough to be effective, but not so bold that it became overpowering. I even lit both at one time – Pina Colada Candy, anyone? Delicious. They also burned at a slow, steady pace unlike some other soy candles I’ve purchased that seemed to evaporate right before my eyes.
Each Jackpot Candle offers a foil-wrapped jewelry item valued between $15 and $5,000. What I love: You get to pick what KIND of jewelry you want. When you order, you can select both the scent and the jewelry : ring, earrings or necklace. And you don’t have to worry about getting a ring that is too big or too small either – you get to pick the size as well (6 – 9 available).
For my first candle, I chose a size 6 ring. Waiting for my reveal wasn’t as arduous as I imagined. Here’s where another area of Jackpot Candles really shines through: the prizes were at the top of the candle. It only took an hour or so of burning before I saw my foil wrapped jackpot appear. It was a beautiful silver ring with blue and clear stones. It also fit perfectly. A+
For my second candle I selected earrings. Again I waited the very short time for my foil surprise to appear and was pleasantly surprised with sterling silver and black stone studs. They weren’t gum ball machine earrings either. The settings were strong and well designed while the posts and covers were snug and well fitted. These would go great with a little black dress!
Unlike some other prize candles I’ve tried, I was happy to see that the jewelry was not covered in wax thanks to leaky foil. Jackpot Candles double wraps your prizes – first in a zip top baggy and second in a healthy cover of thick foil.
This feature really sets Jackpot Candles apart from other prize candle companies. As soon as you open your jewelry, you can get it’s value on the Jackpot Candles website. Each piece has a tag attached that displayed a number. Simply go to the Appraisals page at JackpotCandles.com, type in the number and instantly find out how much your jewelry is worth. Both my ring and earrings were each worth $25.
I have to say that Jackpot Candle is my favorite prize candle company so far. The smells are amazing and the jewelry is very pretty and high quality. Add that to the ability to choose what kind of jewelry I want, pick my perfect size and get its value instantly and I will definitely be buying more in the future. These would make great gifts for birthdays, bridal showers, or just because. It’s like two gifts in one.
