It’s time again for another Maleficent fix. This time there’s a new poster to feast your eyes on. If you thought the first image knocked your socks off, this one is going to blow you away. You can almost feel the evil oozing from it – and we love it.

I already cast my vote that Angelina Jolie was a wonderful choice for the Mistress of All Evil – but this new official image seals the deal. There’s no denying that she isn’t the best choice – she’s the only choice.

About the Film
Maleficent explores the untold story of Disney’s most iconic villain from the classic “Sleeping Beauty” and the elements of her betrayal that ultimately turn her pure heart to stone. Driven by revenge and a fierce desire to protect the moors over which she presides, Maleficent cruelly places an irrevocable curse upon the human king’s newborn infant Aurora. As the child grows, Aurora is caught in the middle of the seething conflict between the forest kingdom she has grown to love and the human kingdom that holds her legacy. Maleficent realizes that Aurora may hold the key to peace in the land and is forced to take drastic actions that will change both worlds forever. Watch The Trailer

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY
Angelina sat down with Entertainment Weekly to talk about her place as the most famous dark fairy of them all in Disney’s revamp of the classic tale. Much like the hit book and Broadway show Wicked, Maleficent will tell the other side of an old story we’ve all grown up with and give us a glimpse into the life of the woman responsible for Sleeping Beauty’s slumber.
Always one to cheer on the misunderstood villain and ponder what made them who they are, I was thrilled to hear Jolie confirm what we all were hoping for – “The exercise wasn’t how can we have fun with a villain?” Jolie said. “It was: What turns people evil and vile and aggressive and cruel? What could have possibly happened to her?”
Was Maleficent truly evil? Or was she simply brought to her breaking point by cruelty and isolation? Did she have dreams, goals, aspirations she was robbed of? How does she get all of her hair under those horns? These are the questions I need to have answered!
Now the evil wonder herself has joined the social media revolution and will be reaching out to fans everywhere on Twitter. You can follow along with @Maleficent as excitement builds for the May 30th theatrical release. My sources tell me that something big is coming.
