I do love jewelry. As far back as I can remember, even as a little girl, I was drawn to things that sparkled and shined. I have a rather large collection now, but I realized they were all pretty much….the same. Everything silver, understated and muted tones that would match anything I wore. Stick with clear stones and plain metals – that was my strategy.
This year is all about eye catching design and, when Mialisia contacted me to ask if I’d try out the VersaStyle™ line I decided to go for it. It was time for me to explore some color.
Typically I stick with dainty styles; things that don’t really draw the eye. I admired women who wore bold pieces, but just never had the guts to do it myself. As soon as I saw the Blue Taffy and Sugar and Spice chains, I knew just where I wanted to start.
I loved the bright blue of the cats-eye beads mixed with the candy colors of bright red, green, blue and yellow. Framed with brilliant silver, it accents the cool tone of my skin. Each piece includes a hook and extension chain so that you can adjust the length or attach pieces together to create a unique single piece.
The hooks are very easy to use so you don’t have to worry about turning into a contortionist just to clasp something behind your neck, around your wrist and more.
I love the layered look, so I looped the Sugar and Spice twice around my neck while letting the Blue Taffy hang at full length. Chains can be adapted to fit just about any area you want to accessorize. Wrap your wrist for a stacked bracelet look as I did with the Simplicity chain, clip around your waist as a chain belt, wrap a pony tail, or around your ankle for an eye catching accent to your favorite sandals. The uses for Mialisia are limited only by your own imagination.
But, there’s more to Mialisia than just necklaces. Topping off my July look are the Capri earrings – featuring delicate scroll work and an antique finish.
