Some mornings I feel so guilty. I know I should be eating protein and healthy fats and all that jazz. What do I eat? Cereal. It’s fast, delicious and it doesn’t weigh me down. Unfortunately, most of them are empty calories. In the worst case, they’re packed with sugar and nothing else. Oh how I love it…but my body does not.
When Post Foods told me there was a new alternative that gave me a lightly sweet crunch on the go, but also provided me with the nutrients I need to make my breakfast count, I had to see for myself. They sent over two boxes of their newest Honey Bunches of Oats: Whole Grain Honey Crunch and Whole Grain with Vanilla Bunches.

Both varieties have over 2/3 of your day’s whole grain (33g)† and 4g of fiber per serving. They also supply you with 12 essential vitamins and minerals: Reduced Iron, Niacinamide, Zinc Oxide (Source Of Zinc), Vitamin A Palmitate, Vitamin B6, Riboflavin (Vitamin B2), Thiamin Mononitrate (Vitamin B1), Folic Acid, Vitamin D, Vitamin B12.
That’s quite an improvement over the typical “Zappy Sugar Rainbow Crunchies” I usually grab on my way out the door. But there’s even more bonus: Thanks to the whole grain, it’s also Heart healthy** (0g trans fat, 0g saturated fat, 0mg cholesterol per serving)

Ok, so it’s better for you than other cereals. But, how does it taste?
In a word: delicious. I admit, at first I had to resist the urge to add sugar. But, that’s my own fault for eating junky kid cereals for so long. Honey Bunches of Oats Whole Grain cereals have a lightly sweet flavor. Yes, there is sugar, but they also use Wildflower Honey. You can definitely taste the difference.
Everyone in the family has been asking for a bowl of Honey Bunches of Oats Whole Grain cereal – from my husband to our 5 year old. Even our teen (who rarely stops for breakfast) has filled his bowl with Honey Crunch more than once.

Did you know? Honey Bunches of Oats offers 19 different flavors and has been on family breakfast tables for over 25 years. With new Whole Grain cereal, convenient Breakfast Biscuits and crunchy Granola, there are so many ways to enjoy Honey Bunches of Oats!
