Pull out the tissues, make sure you’re alone… because you may find yourself sniffling and smiling after you watch this video about baby’s firsts from Pampers. (I may or may not have been ugly crying by the end… I’ll never tell.)

Of course this made me think about my own sons and those awesome moments I’ve been privileged to share with both of them. One is almost 18 and about to go off to Army bootcamp. Another is still just five, but he’s already branching out on his own – wanting to be Mr. Independent at all times. But, I can’t stop thinking about their first steps, words and more. After watching the video I dug out the baby books and read through them again. I’ve probably done it a hundred times and will do it a hundred more.
I have so many memories jotted down on the worn pages. I recorded everything from first haircuts to first trips with mom and dad. I have photos of their favorite stuffed animals, their first shoes and books they couldn’t put down. “Firsts” are often as much about mom and dad as they are about baby.
