One of our first summer outings this year was a family picnic at preschool, made even more fun by being part of a sponsored campaign with SocialStars and Capri Sun. #CapriSunMomFactor
Little Man is all done with preschool. I have to admit, it was kind of awesome and sad at the same time. My second born is growing up! I got a little teary eyed on his last day. I couldn’t believe he was on his way to kindergarten next. Luckily, the school gave us the best way to celebrate this milestone: a school-wide picnic!
We were all ready for some fun in the summer sunshine. We packed up our blanket, chairs and a cooler of good eats. We made sure to include all of LM’s favorites like apple sauce, chicken, veggie fries and more. We also knew our little hurricane would be running around constantly and that can get hot. So, we made sure to pack some bottled water and freeze some Capri Sun pouches the night before – for a cold, refreshing treat.
He definitely kept us on our toes as we rushed from one activity to another. A bouncy house with a slide first, then a dance floor, then soccer, then crafts, then back to the bouncy house to start all over again.
Just when we thought we might get to sit down for a minute – it was time for face painting. There were little tigers, butterflies and pirates running around everywhere. LM decided he was going to be a clown.
He was so patient and stood more still than I’ve ever seen him. But, as soon as the transformation was done, he said, “Momma….I’m thirsty!” A phrase I’m very accustomed to hearing. I can never keep his drink cup full – even at home. After all the play time I’m sure he was ready for something that would beat the heat. He’d finished off a bottled water earlier, so it was time for some frozen fun.
He already loves the flavor of Capri Sun, so he was excited when he realized they were frozen! Whenever he had sipped all he could sip, he had fun crunching the frozen bits to create a super tasty slushy.

Nope. It was time to go give out hugs to the teachers who made such an awesome impact during the school year.
