Not long ago I had the honor of being one of the very first people to watch footage of Disney’s FROZEN. I sat in the Disney Art Studio viewing room with a group of bloggers and we all went completely silent as we watched the scenes on the big screen. Some weren’t even finished yet, the hand drawn character sketches coming to life in front of us. It took my breath away. I instantly fell in love with the characters and couldn’t wait to see the finished story unfold on the big screen.
My youngest son, 4, has definitely adopted my enthusiasm. Each time he sees a preview on the tv or before watching one of his Disney DVDs he squeals with delight and reminds me “We’re going to see that at the movies!” And I assure him, Yes – yes we are! We still have a few days before it opens so I could barely contain my excitement when I found out we were selected to check out the new FROZEN merchandise available at Walmart.
Olaf is, without a doubt, my son’s favorite character (Mine as well, I admit) and he went straight to this adorable, talking Olaf in the store. You can ‘pull’ him apart and when you put him back he makes you giggle with funny sayings like “I feel so much better now!” or “I can’t feel my legs!”
Ever a child of imaginative play, he also picked out the FROZEN Complete Story Set. It includes Kristoff, Anna, Elsa, Hans, Olaf and even the lovable Sven. Now Little Man can have his own frosty adventures at home.

We also wanted to share some of the FROZEN magic so we picked out three of the character dolls to donate to our local family outreach center.
I was really impressed with the details, not just on Elsa and Anna – but on Kristoff as well. They really do look like they are straight from the movie. Elsa is absolutely beautiful, my favorite of the three.
If you’re thinking, “Well…dolls and figures really aren’t my child’s thing…” then never fear! We also found two super cool and creative items: FROZEN My Busy Book and FROZEN Journey to the Ice Palance activity and coloring book.
The FROZEN Busy Book offers two activities in one: a storybook with beautiful illustrations and an activity mat with 12 figurines so your children can recreate the movie (or make up their own adventures!) The Activity book is more than coloring – with drawing activities, puzzles and more. They even have a story book with a snow globe!
Little man hasn’t seen all of these yet, we’re saving them for Hanukkah! But, how could I keep him from his best buddy Olaf for even one day? They are already having so much fun together….even if they both wonder Where’s The Snow??
