Morning can be the most important part of your day. It’s the time to get started on your to do list, get the kids off to school, kiss your spouse goodbye before work and charge up your battery for the long day ahead. With everything you have to do through the day – Start with Kellogg’s.
When it comes to stacking up your energy for the day ahead, there are so many options to choose from. Some are healthy…and some are not so healthy. I’ll be the first to admit that, even though I make sure my children have a full breakfast, I often find myself running for hours on just a cup of coffee. Lately I’ve been trying harder to eat right and part of that challenge is having a nutritious breakfast before I get so busy that I forget. Sometimes it’s fruit or yogurt, but most often it’s cereal. My children have always been fans of cold breakfast cereal — but they often try to talk me into the brands loaded with sugar and artificial colors. Fiber? No way, mom! Grains? Yuck! That use to be a typical morning in my house. But, thanks to Kellogg’s, my kids have finally learned that healthy can taste good. Kellogg’s has been a trusted provider of healthy breakfast cereals for over 100 years and some of their classic varieties are still just as popular today. With Kellogg’s we can start simple, start right and start healthy.

You may be skeptical. How can anything in a box be GOOD for you? You might be surprised at the ingredients within these boxes…
- Kellogg’s Raisin Bran: Wheat, raisins, wheat bran, sugar, brown sugar, salt and malt.
- Kellogg’s Corn Flakes: Corn, sugar, malt and salt.
- Kellogg’s Rice Krispies (original): Rice, sugar, salt and malt.
- Kellogg’s All Bran : Wheat bran, sugar, malt and salt.
- Kellogg’s Whole Grain Brown Rice Gluten Free Rice Krispies: Brown rice, sugar and salt.
If the short ingredient list isn’t enough to inspire you, there is also the Seed to Spoon approach that Kellogg’s takes with their cereals:
At Kellogg our philosophy is simple: We start with the goodness of a single grain — Nebraska corn, Louisiana rice, Michigan wheat — and work closely with local farmers and suppliers to understand the ways in which they work. And how we can help them, and they can help us, be even better. We prepare our cereals in a method similar to what you do in your own kitchen — just on a larger scale. That way from seed to spoon, field to family, you get our best in every bite.

My family still puts in their orders for their favorite cereal when it’s time to go shopping. But, thanks to Kellogg’s now the list is a little different. My husband loves the Corn Flakes while our teenager prefers the Rice Krispies (even at night for a snack!). Our three year old loves all of them, but if I had to pick I’d say the Gluten Free Rice Krispies is the box he points to most often. Me? Well I’m torn between Raisin Bran and All Bran. But – in a pinch- All Bran wins. The fiber makes my body run better and feel great.
What’s YOUR favorite Kellogg’s Cereal?
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kelloggs. I received sample products to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.

Oh I love those pictures. I also love how they are making Gluten-Free Products! That is so awesome.
Rice Krispies hands down. How else can you make Rice Krispie treats? :)
I know breakfast is so, so important. Thank you for sharing their Seed to Spoon approach. That is good to hear with all the additives they put in foods these days. I always look for cereals ( and other foods too) that only have a few of the essential, ingredients. When I see things listed that I do not know what they are, I usually bypass the product. Thanks for sharing some cereals to try that are really good forms family!

I grew up eating Kellogg’s cereals like Rice Krispies and Raisin Bran as my mother wouldn’t buy sugary cereals for us kids. Instead of sugar, she encouraged us to add fruit as toppers to curb our sugar cravings. It worked! Raisin Bran is a favorite in my household and I still love eating my Rice Krispies with Bananas and strawberries :)
I love Rice Krispies! The graphics make me hungry.
I love Corn Flakes and my family loves Rice Krispies
I know how important breakfast is to start your day off on a good path. I am so lucky that my kids love Rice Krispies. There are so many cereals full of sugar that it amazes me. I like knowing that they start with a healthy meal not one full of sugar.
i love Rice Krispies
I miss eating cereal. I used to a lot when I was a kid. Now It’s all about eggs…lol. I need to get some cereal again.
